Klára Šeďová presented joint research of the BOLD team at CEDiR (Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research), one of the world’s leading groups focusing on educational dialogue. The talk addressed how student participation in classroom dialogue relates to learning outcomes and how unequal participation can contribute to unequal learning opportunities. It also highlighted the role of teachers’ practices and their conceptualisations of students in shaping classroom interaction. The visit further strengthened collaboration between BOLD and CEDiR and opened up new opportunities for future joint research.
