At the annual conference of the Czech Educational Research Association (ČAPV), held in early September 2026 at the Faculty of Education, University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, Jakub Vlček and Klára Šeďová received an award in the category of publications by junior researchers.
They were recognised for their article What Hinders Professional Growth of Novice Teachers? An Analysis of Perceived Competency Development During the First Two Years of Teaching, published in Teaching and Teacher Education.
The article examines novice teachers’ perceived competency development during their first two years in the profession, with particular attention to situations in which professional growth does not occur and the factors that may hinder it.
